Composite Filling

It consists of a dimethacrylate resin matrix like Bis-GMA and inorganic fillers. The tooth surface is roughened with 37% phosphoric acid to create micro-pores, and a bonding agent is applied. To manage polymerization shrinkage and the resulting 'C-factor' stress, the material must be placed in increments of maximum 2 mm and polymerized with blue light.
